Known as the birthplace of the poet and writer Theodore Fontaine, Nurepin is a picturesque small town about 60 miles [60 km] northwest of Berlin with Prussian roots. It is located on the coast of Rupiner Sea. It is a forest reserve in the foothills known as Rupiner Schweiz. Swimming, sailing and canoeing or hiking and cycling in the surrounding forests and canyons if you prefer to thrive in the arid lands; The swan travels for miles around the dotted lake.
